The Diablo Matrix was a spool valve type marker. It retailed for $800 when it was released.. In mid 2002, Diablo released the Matrix LCD. It retailed for $1000, and was basically the same as the Matrix but with different circuitry and barrel. Generation E ceased production when Dye Precision aquired the patent. To this day, the Matrix and Matrix LCD are the only high-end and expensive markers released by Diablo.

The Diablo Matrix was released in late 2000. The gun itself was made by Generation E. Diablo would buy the gun from Gen E and sell it to the public as the Diablo Matrix.
